More from the same unit: PI2G (Peloton d'Intervention Interrégional de la Gendarmerie).

5/16/2012

This one is part of a unit that will be featured in the magazines next month.

5/10/2012

So yesterday, I am with this unit for a photo shooting that we had planed in advance, we are having a coffee, watching my pictures on my ipad and suddenly all hell break loose, the guys are running everywhere and in less than 10 minutes, I am seating in an armored truck, wearing a ballistic vest and a helmet and we are speeding through the city with 2 motorcycles "opening" the road onto a real mission !
That was an interesting afternoon ;-)

More from the same unit (Peloton d'intervention de la Garde Républicaine).

4/28/2012

I am back in town !
My week in the Caribbeans was absolutely INCREDIBLE.
I have shot literally thousands of pictures with everything I could have dream of : helicopter, airplane, boats, jungle, volcano... It has been an adrenaline rush 24/7 ;-)

4/21/2012

Just a teaser from yesterday's shooting...
I'll be doing lot more with this unit when I am back home in 8 days.

4/13/2012

Back home for a couple of days !
I have spent 3 days with a great team. As usual, the guys did whatever they could to accommodate my photo requests and we had a great time. It is just a teaser as the story won't be published in the magazines before June.

Swiss GIGG in an Airbus A320.

2/20/2012

Find more about GIGG helicopter training in the current issue of German magazine Kommando.

2/17/2012

Go GIGG ! Those guys were awesome. They welcomed me for several photo shooting and did everything they could so that I could get the best images.

If you read French, check the last issue of Police pro magazine. I have a nice 12 pages article about Geneva 's Police intervention group with plenty of pics. I'll share some later ;-)

Close-up on a GIGG (Groupe d'Intervention de la Gendarmerie genevoise) operator, armed with an HK MP5 and Aimpoint Comp M3.

1/16/2012

Last week, I have spent 3 days with the "Peloton d'Intervention de la Garde Républicaine" (SWAT team from the Gendarmerie honor guard that is on duty at the President's "Palais de l'Élysée".
Small team of great guys that will soon be send to French Guyana for a 3 months mission.
I'll publish a couple of teaser pics, but you will discover them later in both French magazine Police pro and German magazine Kommando.

1/13/2012

I promise, this one is the last "new year" card that I've been doing for a unit ;-)
I'll explain later who this not very well known unit is.

1/07/2012

And the last one is for a team I have worked with a couple of times also, PI2G from Toulouse.

1/05/2012

This one was for Bordeaux's GIPN.
"Old" pics because I didn't get the chance to work with them lately. Hopefully I will in 2012 ;-)

1/01/2012

Happy new year !
Stay safe in 2012, especially if you are a law enforcement officer or if you are in the military.
As usual during this period of the year, I have been designing a couple of greetings cards for some units. Nothing too fancy because we were a bit in a hurry, but here you go.

Back side :

Ready to ride !
Rappelling looks much cooler than fast roping, but tactically it is far less efficient...
A bit too slow and too complicated with all the equipment, so in a real world situation, they would rather use the fast rope.
But still, it looks a bit like "blackhawk down" to ride like this ;-)

12/16/2011

GIGG operators gathered for a briefing in front of the EC 635 helicopter, prior to the exercise.

12/15/2011

Second day of fast rope training with GIGG.
Geneva's lake looked and felt a bit like the north sea and I was soaking wet after 5mn on the RIB boat...
The Swiss Air Force pilot did his job and nobody ended in the water ;-)
As usual with those guys, everything was smooth and professional.
